It's been awhile!

It's been some time since I posted last, but it's never too late, right?! Man, a lot has gone on. To make it short, I trained in Florida in December, incurred a pretty severe injury while there, but tried to tough it out which of course back fired on me. By the time school started again in January I couldn't even lay down without pain... so I decided to face the facts and go and see the doc. I have yet to practice. I got to even be on crutches for a while, and what a treat that was! Soon after I was asked to not practice, I found out that despite precautions taken, Dave and I found out that we were expecting!
In February, Dave and I moved into a new and improved apartment. The walls in our other apartment started to collapse on top of other huge reasons. So we moved from one side of Ludlow to the other side, a little closer to campus which is excellent for those days when it's just too beautiful to drive to school.
A lot has gone on with rowing... I experienced some personal issues with Coach and then some teammates who once treated me like a friend decided they hated me without even knowing what was truly going on. I am thankful that some teammates and true friends have actually commended me for doing what I felt and still feel was the right thing. As Momma would say, "Karma will always come to bite them back in the butt." I am finishing up the year working at the Athletic Development center doing data processing of donations, sales, finances, etc. of the Atheletic Dept. for the remaining time left in the season. Classes are super tough, but becuase they're required for my major I'm really trying my toughest to do well. The CCC is still the CCC (Cincy Country Club). Odd-balls extrordinaire! A regular thrill a minute, for sure.
So I'm close to 6 mths along in my pregnancy. It's a BOY! His name is going to be Jonah Owen. He is due two days before our Wedding Anniversary. We've got his room all decked out with everything, all it needs now is a baby. I am trying to figure out what it will be like next year, trying to go to school and getting in shape for rowing again, while having a newborn. I know Dave and I will figure it out some way. We've figured this much out so far! My sisters Dani and Dana are planning a June Shower in Dayton. Michelle Miller and Denae Coco are planning on in July for the Cincinnatians! More info on that later. I was hoping to post some photo's of Me, the Whale that swallowed the soon to be Jonah, but my camera is acting funny this week. Perhaps I'll fiddle with it enough to get it to work later on. Well, until then.
